BY ROAD
FROM NEW DELHI
Take the NH8 to Jaipur, past the New Delhi Airport and Gurgaon for 78 km (ie 3km ahead of Dharuhera). Turn left and drive on the new wide road for another 5km. Now turn right towards Bhiwadi Mor after 2km. Look out left for a turn to Alwar (SH-25). Turn, and continue for 28 km on the same path till the Tijara Circle. Take the left into Tijara. Drive 2km to the Bus Stand and turn left, past the Tehsil Headquarters on your left hand side. Continue through the market for 1km. Now, using the teak farm as a landmark (on your left), exit the main road into a narrow new road.

After 3km on the road (follow the map detail), travel between the two walls into the fort complex. Tijara Fort is high up on the hill on your left. Where the hill ends, take a sharp left through the gates. Journey 1.25km uphill. You will now see two entrance gates before. Take the right up to Hawa Mahal or the left up to Rani Mahal. TIP: Although the road to Tijara is an excellent 6-lane highway, it is recommended that you alight from your van and take a 4-wheel drive up the last 1.25 km.

FROM JAIPUR
Follow the MDR25 to Alwar-Bhiwadi Road or alternatively the Alwar Bypass Road or the Alwar-Tijara Road. Continue on the Alwar-Bhiwadi Road till Tijara. Take the left into Tijara. Drive 2km to the Bus Stand and turn left, past the Tehsil Headquarters on your left-hand side. Continue through the market for 1km.
